Want to join us at Fins and Flippers ... for free?
This year, we're offering a limited number of complimentary tickets for supporters willing to roll up their sleeves and help make this event the most successful Fins yet.
To earn your complimentary ticket, please complete one of the actions below, each tied to an individual fundraising effort of around $100 or more. That might mean encouraging two friends to buy tickets (a $120 impact!), bringing in a raffle item worth $100+, or raising funds through your network.
Want in? Here’s how to secure your free ticket through fundraising.
Invite two or more friends to attend.
Rally your pod! Get at least two guests to purchase general admission tickets and join you at the event. More guests = more awareness and support. Click here for the ticket link.
Fundraise $100 or more for marine mammals.
Ask your inner circle to help you reach a $100 goal (maybe you have some dolphin-loving friends, family or coworkers). They can donate directly at www.lmmn.org/donate - just remind them to include your name in the "comment" section so you get credit!
Donate or secure a raffle item.
Help us secure a raffle prize valued at $100 or more - gift cards, services, experiences, and themed baskets are all welcome! Please fill out this form to provide details so we can register the item for Fins and then properly acknowledge the donation. Businesses that donate items through an individual supporter will be listed as “Raffle Donors” in our event materials.
Secure a financial sponsor.
Know a business that would love to support marine mammals? Introduce them to our team and/or share our sponsorship deck. If they confirm a sponsorship, you’ll earn your free ticket.
When your fundraising action is complete, please fill out this short form,
and we’ll send you a code to redeem your complimentary ticket.

Fundraise for Your Ticket – FAQs

Q: Why $100?
A: An adult general admission ticket to Fins and Flippers is $60, but we set the fundraising goal at $100 to reflect the true cost of hosting the event and to help support our mission. Every extra dollar helps cover expenses and directly supports LMMN’s marine mammal stranding response, conservation education, and outreach efforts. Your fundraising goes further than just your ticket, it helps protect marine life.
Q. What’s the difference between fundraising $100 for a comp ticket and just donating $100 directly?
A: Both options support LMMN and both will get you a ticket to Fins and Flippers! Donating $100 directly qualifies you as a sponsor, which includes recognition in our marketing materials. Fundraising $100 means you're reaching out to friends or colleagues to help you meet the goal, a great way to spread awareness and grow our community.

Q: If I donate a raffle item worth $50, does that count the same as raising or donating $100?
A: Raffle donations valued at $50 or more qualify as in-kind sponsors, and you'll be recognized in digital marketing and at the event. However, raffle donors do not receive a comp ticket unless they also raise or donate $100 through the ticket campaign. Both contributions are incredibly helpful and appreciated, just with different benefits.

Q: Can I combine a raffle donation and fundraising to earn a ticket?
A: Unfortunately, we can’t combine raffle value with fundraising dollars toward a comp ticket. Each contribution type (cash or in-kind) is tracked separately, and each has its own recognition path. But we’re happy to work with you to find the best fit for your support!

Q: How is fundraising tracked?
A: This is self-directed fundraising effort and we just ask that you fill out the appropriate forms to let us know which option you fulfilled. Once you do that, we'll verify and send you a code to redeem your complimentary ticket.

Q: Is my donation (or the donation I help raise) tax-deductible?
A: Financial donations made to LMMN are tax-deductible (EIN: 81-4887156) to the extent allowed by law. In-kind donations (like raffle items) are also eligible, and we will provide a donation receipt. Because you may receive a complimentary event ticket as part of your fundraising, your participation is not considered tax-deductible. However, any individual who donated to your fundraiser may be eligible to deduct their contribution.

Q: What if I raise more than $100?
A: That’s 'fin'tastic! Every dollar above and beyond helps us respond to stranded marine mammals, further our educational outreach and conduct important research. Top fundraisers may even receive bonus recognition or fun surprises at the event.
