A true independent spirit, Hook is often spotted strand feeding solo but isn’t above mingling with the other Fab Five crew. With a distinctive “hooked” dorsal fin, this enigmatic loner is as unique as they come!

This Fab Five member, named for the "small nick" in his dorsal fin, is living their best life with buddy Times 3. Whether they’re strand feeding or cruising the waves, these two are practically inseparable. Small Nick's laid-back vibe and strong bond with Times 3, make Small Nick a true standout in the Lowcountry waters!

A powerful and confident presence in the Lowcountry waters, Times 3 is known for his strong bond with Small Nick. Together, this dynamic duo is often spotted stirring up fun. Recognized by the three cutouts in his dorsal fin, Times 3 is a larger and more commanding male, but still has a playful streak that keeps life in the pod anything but boring!

This fierce and independent mama doesn’t follow the crowd - she’s a true solo artist! Smaller in size but big on personality, KoKo loves to strand feed alone like a boss and spend most of her days in Captain Sam's inlet. Keep an eye out - she’s known for giving curious glances from the shore, just to remind you who’s really in charge!

As the ultimate marine life matriarch of the Lowcountry, Step is a devoted mom and babysitter extraordinaire, often observed caring for new calves in the pod. She got her name from her step-like dorsal fin, a reminder of her resilience after an old injury. Step is mom to at least five calves and is often spotted feeding alongside her offspring. Graceful, nurturing, and wise, Step is the heart of her pod!
